  this thought isn't fully formed, but maybe someone can expand on it.... i've been keeping an eye on the situation developing with steven unthank's case against the wt in australia - how they have completely disregarded the law about child abuse registry checks for elders - and it seems to be that they've done the very thing we all lived in fear of doing: bringing reproach on jehovah's name.. they talk about how if jw's engage in wrong conduct they are bringing reproach on god's name, or how satan has heaped reproach on jehovah's name... well, it seems to me they are doing an awfully good job of it themselves.... in addition look at the qualifications for an elder as laid out in 1 timothy... with these words in mind, it seems to me the gb have since disqualified themselves.... 1 timothy 3:1-7 .

  1 it is a trustworthy statement: if any man aspires to the office of overseer, it is a fine work he desires to do.

  2 an overseer, then, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, prudent, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,.

  Without a doubt.........WTBTS!

  Thats' why the scripture says (1 Peter 4:17) that when the 'Day Of Judgment' comes, Jesus is going to kick some ass first with those who claim to serve him........WTBTS included!

  In due time the self-righteous, law breaking, tax evading, child molesting, money hungry, disfellowship happy, shunning happy and no-blood Christian counterfeiters who call themselve WTBTS will get theirs! Yeah Baby!

  "He relected on the 16 year battle the Witnesses of Jehovah in France have had with the French government's attempt to tax the organization on its voluntary contributions received. The tax amount was staggering and the motive behind all of this was clearly an attack on our faith. The situation looked very bad. The French higher courts upheld the tax claim against the Witnesses and so the Witnesses appealed the matter to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR). Prayers galore were going upto Jehovah."

  Hell on April 15, of every year I too am going to offer prayers galore to Jah and ask that he erase my tax obligations to Uncle Sam. Screw Jesus' motto @ Mat 22:21 "Pay back, therefore, Caesar's things to Caesar.....".

  If the WTBTS can weasel out of Jesus' command to pay taxes why can't I. Thank you WTBTS for the lesson...........You Hypocrites!

  i had no plans to turn up to the court hearing as an observer, as in my experience, it can take several hearings and a number of months before any court case gets rolling.

  Vincent Toole Solicitors then went on to present arguments that the "faithful and discreet slave" do not exist as a "person" nor do they exist as an "unincorporated body" and nor do they exist as a "body" of Christians.......they simply do not exist.

  The above statement reminds of when Bill Clinton was asked: "Is there anything going on between you and Monica Lewinsky? "

  He then tried to weasel his way out of ever having had sex with her by replying… "It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is."

  The WTBTS in the same way are manipulating words in order to weasel their way out of being found guilty of a criminal act.

  Shame on them!

  Par 19: Blondie asks...... Peace in the congregation is modeled by the elders…what was your experience?

  This is just one experience of many:

  I know of an individual with several children who has been df'd for a number of years now. She has made repeated attempts to 'pursue peace' with the BOE and they repeatedly put her off, telling her she has a little more to work on. This BOE doesn't want peace. They want blood, sweat and tears from this person!

  How can Jehovah's Witnesses consider themselves a peace loving religion when their leadership has the following in print: "A simple 'Hello' to someone can be the first step that develops into a conversation and maybe even a friendship. Would we want to take that first step with a disfellowshiped person?" (God's Love pg 207 par 2) Sound like hate brainwashing to me!
